Ochocinco is fined again

Once again Chad Ochocinco is fined 25,000 for tweeting during the preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles on August 20th. NFL players are not allowed to post any messages on social media websites 90 minutes before kickoff & until post game media obligations are fulfilled. Everybody know Chad loves the attention and he brands himself very well. In fact, after he was fined he apologized stating "I've been fined by the league a substantial amount of money for tweeting, 1st time twitter hasn't made me money but cost me money," he wrote. Also, ""Dear NFL I apologize for tweeting during the game but that was 2 months of Bugatti payments you just took from me,I won't do it again,"

Let's see if this behavior will roll over to the regular season

The Prima Donna Is Back

After stating once again that he is completely done with Football, Brett Favre decides to rejoin the team again to put aside his latest brush with retirement. He said he opted to play a 20th NFL season because he felt he owed his teammates "one more try" at a Super Bowl title. I must say that his behavior is absurd and unprofessional. Not only do I blame him, but I also blame the organization of Minnesota for allowing this behavior to happen. . The three Vikings players had visited Favre late Monday and Tuesday at the quarterback's home in Mississippi and convinced him to play. To make matters worse The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that the Vikings are prepared to increase Favre's salary for this season from $13 million to $16.5 million. I wonder how the back up QB's are feeling. Brett Favre seems to be selfish and avoids pre-season just to play during the regular season. It will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds.

Shaq Is In The Mean Green

This past Tuesday morning Shaq was introuded as the new member of the Boston Celtics. The main reason why he decided to join forces with the Celtics is to add more championships before his retirement. Can it happen? Definitely, Shaq is aware of his role and is prepared to play anywhere from 20-25 minutes. Originally, Shaw hit the free agent market seeking a two-year deal worth a reported $8 million to $10 million a season. The Celtics expressed an interest -- though not at that price -- and general manager Danny Ainge moved on to pursue other options. O'neal finally came around and his agent called him stating he is ready to play. Shaq definitely feels confident and with having a big guy in the middle can definitely help dominate the middle. Everybody ask Shaq about nicknames, O'Neal said he liked the Big Shamrock but was also partial to the Big Green Mile.

Brett Favre Is Set To Retire

In most recent news, Brett Favre has informed the Vikings he will not return to Minnesota for a second season. Favre has sent text messages to teammates saying, "This is it," according to several sources. It has not been confirmed as of yet but it definitely may happen. With Favre, of course, nothing is ever necessarily final after 19 NFL seasons. He told the Vikings last year he wouldn't play, but changed his mind and joined them immediately after they broke training camp, with Childress even driving to the airport to pick him up. Camp this year ends on Aug. 12. He had one of his best seasons last year, with career bests in completion percentage (68.4), quarterback rating (107.2) and fewest interceptions (7), while throwing for 33 TDs and 4,202 yards to lead the Vikings to an NFC North title. He hurt his left ankle in the NFC Championship Game loss to the New Orleans Saints and had arthroscopic surgery in May.

If Favre decides to actually retire for good, it will end one of the most storied careers in NFL history.

A three-time league MVP (1995-97), Favre won Super Bowl XXXI with the Packers. His 11 Pro Bowl appearances are the most ever by a quarterback.

Indeed, Favre holds most major NFL records for a quarterback, including career touchdowns (497), yards passing (69,329); wins (181); and seasons with at least 3,000 yards passing (18).
