My Results After NFL Week 2

After week NFL week #2 I am disappointed with my results. 8-8 is my final results and I was surprise by some teams who lost. The most upsetting lost to me was the Cowboys losing to the Bears. After all this talk about this team going to the Super Bowl they are currently 0-2. After looking at their schedule they have some more difficult teams coming up. Another shocker was the Texans beating the Redskins in OT. Graham Cano had the game won in OT by kicking a 52-yard field goal that would have given the Redskins the win, but the Texans called a timeout at the last second. When he attempt to duplicate the process,Gano pushed the second attempt wide right. Neil Rackers came in and hit the winning field goal for the Texans leading them to a 2-0 season. The other losses that I was wrongfully choosing was the Bengals, Patriots, Vikings,Titans, Seahawks and Rams. I definitely have to step my game up and I guaranteed next week my predictions will speak for itself. Enough of this writing I have to analyze week 3 and my predictions. I will post my predictions tomorrow.

My Predictions For NFL Week #2

Ladies and gents it's time for my predictions for week number 2. We have some tough match-ups this week and I usually post my predictions on Tuesdays, but I had to sit back and analyze some teams before I updated my blog. Well here goes nothing.
Let's kick it off with the 1pm games:

Baltimore @ Cincinnati- I predict this will be a close match-up but I predict the Ravens will win because of their defense.
Chicago @ Dallas- I predict the Cowboys will protect their home and win easily.
Philadelphia @ Detroit- With Michael Vick starting I predict the Eagles will run the Lions out their stadium.
Arizona @ Atlanta- I predict the Falcons will protect their home and win. The offense of the Cardinals seems to be struggling.
Kansas City @ Cleveland- I predict the Chiefs will win on the road. This teams is going to stand out this year.
Buffalo @ Green Bay- I predict the Packers will win. Their offense and defense is definitely on one cord.
Pittsburgh @ Tennessee- I predict the Titans will prevail over the Steelers.
Tampa Bay @ Carolina- I predict the Bucs will win on the road over the Panthers.
Miami @ Minnesota- I love my Dolphins but I predict the Vikings to win. I believe the crowd will impact the Dolphins ability to win on the road.

4pm games on Sunday:

Saint Louis @ Oakland- I predict the Rams to win. Even with Oakland picking up Campbell. I still am not convince that the Raiders are ready for the playoffs.
Seattle @ Denver- I believe that the Seahawks will win on the road.
Houston @ Washington- I predict that the Redskins will protect their home.
New England @ New York Jets- This is the game to watch because it's going to be a match-up between Revis/Moss and I predict the Patriots will win.
Jacksonville @ San Diego- I predict the Chargers will win at home.

Sunday 8pm game:

New York Giants @ Indianapolis- I predict the Colts will win at home but it will be exciting to see the Manning brothers match-up again.

Monday Night Game:

New Orleans @ San Francisco- I predict the Saints will march right over the 49ers.

Well ladies and gents I will post my results Tuesday 9/21/10 and let's see if my results are better than last week.

My Results After NFL Week 1

Well after week 1 of the NFL season my record stands as 12-4 and I am pumped up. I always strive for perfection but I'm not disappointed with my outcome. The teams that let me down was the 49ers, Colts, Chargers and Bengals. The most shocking of them all is the Colts simply because of Peyton Manning and it shows that any given Sunday anything can happen. Peyton had a great performance but it's not about individual accolades, at the end of the day they still did not get over the hump. The Texans performance was impressive and I believe they will have a good season. Well ladies and gents I will post my prediction for NFL week 2 on Thursday 9/16/10.

Ochocinco is fined again

Once again Chad Ochocinco is fined 25,000 for tweeting during the preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles on August 20th. NFL players are not allowed to post any messages on social media websites 90 minutes before kickoff & until post game media obligations are fulfilled. Everybody know Chad loves the attention and he brands himself very well. In fact, after he was fined he apologized stating "I've been fined by the league a substantial amount of money for tweeting, 1st time twitter hasn't made me money but cost me money," he wrote. Also, ""Dear NFL I apologize for tweeting during the game but that was 2 months of Bugatti payments you just took from me,I won't do it again,"

Let's see if this behavior will roll over to the regular season

The Prima Donna Is Back

After stating once again that he is completely done with Football, Brett Favre decides to rejoin the team again to put aside his latest brush with retirement. He said he opted to play a 20th NFL season because he felt he owed his teammates "one more try" at a Super Bowl title. I must say that his behavior is absurd and unprofessional. Not only do I blame him, but I also blame the organization of Minnesota for allowing this behavior to happen. . The three Vikings players had visited Favre late Monday and Tuesday at the quarterback's home in Mississippi and convinced him to play. To make matters worse The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that the Vikings are prepared to increase Favre's salary for this season from $13 million to $16.5 million. I wonder how the back up QB's are feeling. Brett Favre seems to be selfish and avoids pre-season just to play during the regular season. It will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds.

Shaq Is In The Mean Green

This past Tuesday morning Shaq was introuded as the new member of the Boston Celtics. The main reason why he decided to join forces with the Celtics is to add more championships before his retirement. Can it happen? Definitely, Shaq is aware of his role and is prepared to play anywhere from 20-25 minutes. Originally, Shaw hit the free agent market seeking a two-year deal worth a reported $8 million to $10 million a season. The Celtics expressed an interest -- though not at that price -- and general manager Danny Ainge moved on to pursue other options. O'neal finally came around and his agent called him stating he is ready to play. Shaq definitely feels confident and with having a big guy in the middle can definitely help dominate the middle. Everybody ask Shaq about nicknames, O'Neal said he liked the Big Shamrock but was also partial to the Big Green Mile.

Brett Favre Is Set To Retire

In most recent news, Brett Favre has informed the Vikings he will not return to Minnesota for a second season. Favre has sent text messages to teammates saying, "This is it," according to several sources. It has not been confirmed as of yet but it definitely may happen. With Favre, of course, nothing is ever necessarily final after 19 NFL seasons. He told the Vikings last year he wouldn't play, but changed his mind and joined them immediately after they broke training camp, with Childress even driving to the airport to pick him up. Camp this year ends on Aug. 12. He had one of his best seasons last year, with career bests in completion percentage (68.4), quarterback rating (107.2) and fewest interceptions (7), while throwing for 33 TDs and 4,202 yards to lead the Vikings to an NFC North title. He hurt his left ankle in the NFC Championship Game loss to the New Orleans Saints and had arthroscopic surgery in May.

If Favre decides to actually retire for good, it will end one of the most storied careers in NFL history.

A three-time league MVP (1995-97), Favre won Super Bowl XXXI with the Packers. His 11 Pro Bowl appearances are the most ever by a quarterback.

Indeed, Favre holds most major NFL records for a quarterback, including career touchdowns (497), yards passing (69,329); wins (181); and seasons with at least 3,000 yards passing (18).

R.I.P To George Steinbrenner

It's definitely a sad day in the sports world as we lose another icon. Steinbrenner had a heart attack, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Fla., and died at about 6:30 a.m. ET, according to multiple reports. George built the Yankees from ground up. In fact, in 37-plus seasons as owner, Steinbrenner led the Yankees to seven World Series championships, 11 American League pennants and 16 AL East titles. He changed the game of the franchise by starting his own television network and ballpark food company. Forbes now values the Yankees at $1.6 billion, trailing only Manchester United ($1.8 billion) and the Dallas Cowboys ($1.65 billion). The Steinbrenner family said that funeral arrangements will be private; however, details about an additional public service will be announced at a later date. He is gone but he will not be forgotten at all. R.I.P to a legend

Amare Reaches New Deal In A New Place

While all the speculation is involved in LeBron, Dwayne & Chris Bosh the show must go on and it has with New York reaching an agreement Monday with free agent Amare Stoudemire. The All-Star forward will receive a five-year, $99.7 million contract that will reunite him with coach Mike D'Antoni. Amare is excited about his new deal and already stated that he is going to attempt to recruit LeBron over to New York. The Knicks believe they are still in the hunt for James, but Sunday night's news that James planned to delay making a decision until Wednesday or Thursday helped force their hand in regards to Stoudemire. With this deal taking place it effectively removed the Knicks from the pursuit of Chris Bosh, and it significantly reduced the chances of David Lee returning to New York. However, the Knicks could still use Lee in a sign-and-trade deal if they miss out on James and Wade, but Lee could choose to take a five-year offer from another team between now and Thursday. Stoudemire had spent his entire career in Phoenix, where he played under D'Antoni before the coach came to New York in 2008. Stoudemire averaged more than 20 points in every season they were together and immediately becomes the best player D'Antoni has coached since leaving the Suns after the 2007-08 season. At this point they have their fingers crossed to see if they can also have LeBron join their organization.

Let The Talk Begin!!!!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen let the talk begin. Nets billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov, rap mogul Jay-Z, coach Avery Johnson and other team officials spent more than 90 minutes making a presentation on Thursday to James, the two-time MVP and budding global icon who became the most celebrated free agent in history at 12:01 a.m. The Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers are expected to meet with James on Friday, with the Chicago Bulls and Cavaliers scheduled to visit with him Saturday. Cleveland's hoping that James' loyalty to home will keep him in Ohio. The team gave him something to consider as free agency opened by offering Byron Scott their coaching job. Scott's agent, Brian McInerney, told the AP that Scott has accepted the position. It's definitely exciting to see teams offer their presentations and history on free agents that they are trying to lure in. In one week history will be made and we shall see what happens

New Rumors Surrounding LeBron/Wade & Bosh

It has recently been reported that LeBron, Dwayne and Chris Bosh have engaged in conversation discussing how all three could fit under the Miami NBA club’s salary cap. How could all three play together you ask?  According to a source I read in Sun-Sentinel they all have agreed to split it up by unloading the $4.96 million 2010-11 salary on the contract of forward Michael Beasley, as well as potentially minimizing the cap hit of the buyout of forward James Jones, the Heat would be on the cusp of being able to extend maximum offers to Wade, James and Bosh. I also read that they are able to pull off a trade for Bosh by being accommodated in such a scenario by the Heat either sending Beasley to the Raptors or including him in a multiple-team trade that involves Toronto. The Heat also could send draft picks to Toronto, including the Raptors’ future first-round pick the Heat currently holds, as a means of Bosh receiving his maximum contract length. At the same time it has been reported that Bosh/LeBron may join the Bulls as well the Chicago Bulls continuing to rank as a highly appealing destination and a return to Cleveland still figuring prominently in his thinking and with the Dallas Mavericks looming as an intriguing outsider. In that scenario, sources said, James and Bosh would join Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah in Chicago, while Wade would hope to be joined in Miami by close friend Carlos Boozer, who was not at the meeting. July 8,2010 is 8 days away and we shall see what happens

Repeat For The Lakers

The Lakers hold on to their title after defeating the Boston Celtics in game 7 (83-79).Kobe Bryant received the Finals MVP for averaging more than 28 points per game and leading the Lakers to their repeat. I must say it was not an easy task for the Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers had to rally from deficit after Boston led for almost 3.5 quarters. At halfway to fourth quarter, Lakers begun the rally led by Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. Ron Artest also supported the Lakers by scoring 20 points and a crucial three-pointers when Boston cut their lead to three. Boston played without their starting center, Kendrick Perkins, who suffered sprained knee in game 6. Kobe stated that this championship is the sweetest thus far and now their is a debate whether Kobe is the best Laker ever. Phil Jackson also won his 11th rings, six with Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and five with the Los Angeles Lakers. It could be his last rings as he is not sure if he will return next season. Also in the arena is Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss. Magic Johnson handed the Larry O’Brien trophy to the champions. The Lakers are looking to do it again next year......We shall see.

Perkins Out For Game 7

Just imagint the  most important game in the NBA and what you fight for during the whole season and you are unable to play. Well Kendrick Perkins told reporters at Wednesday's media session that he tore two ligaments in his right knee in Tuesday's NBA Finals Game 6 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and will be sidelined for Thursday's decisive Game 7. He will undergo an MRI on Friday to further assess the damage. This happen in game 6 when he landed awkwardly trying to haul in an offensive rebound midway through the first quarter and suffered what was originally diagnosed as a knee sprain. I must say that he may still play in my opinion because it's not like this opportunity will present itself again. Andrew Bynum is playing and he is not 100 percent, but he has the mind set that he may not duplicate this process next year. Game 7 is set for tomorrow and it's do or die for both teams and this is what you play for and what you train for so we shall see if Perkins is able to play partially tomorrow.

Big Ben Apologizes!!!!

Ever since Ben has been accused by a student who stated student he sexually assaualted her in a nightclub bathroom on March 5, Roethlisberger told Pittsburgh TV stations KDKA and WTAE that he expects to be booed this season .He has apologized extensively for his actions and promised to become the role model he should have been throughout his career. For the first time, Roethlisberger said that living a role rather than living a life may have affected him on the field, too. The Steelers went 9-7 and missed the playoffs last season, one season after winning the Super Bowl. He stated that that he got caught up being Big Ben the whole time and he lost track of who Ben Roethlisberger was. The question is how he would be perceived when the NFL season kicks off and the question remains should the fans forgive and forget or give him a hard time every time he steps on the field.

Strasburg Debut Is Tonight

Stephen Strasburg is set to make his Washington Nationals debut tonight. Tickets are selling like hot cakes and everybody is anticipating what kind of pitching frenzy he is going to put on tonight. Why is their so much anticipation you ask? It was almost cruel to watch Strasburg overwhelm hitters in Double-A and Triple-A. His combined stats: 7-2 with a 1.30 ERA with 65 strikeouts and only 13 walks in 55 1/3 innings.  He also eclipses the 100 mph mark with his fastball and makes hitters cringe with his curve and it will definitely be interesting if he can live up to all the hype cause we are looking at a star in the making.
